How Quickly Does BELOTERO Start Working?

BELOTERO starts working immediately, and an improvement in your appearance can be seen as soon as your injections have been administered. However, it may take anywhere from 14 to 21 days for your final results to become apparent. The reason you will notice an immediate reduction in your volume loss-related concerns is that the hyaluronic acid-based gel volumizes the area. It also provides volume by drawing in water molecules.

The reason it may be two or three weeks before you can enjoy your final results is that your ideal results come from your skin producing extra collagen. This process takes time, but there are steps you can take to support it.

What Can I Do To Rejuvenate My Face Faster?

To support your skin’s collagen production process, you need to stay hydrated and keep your skin moisturized. Generally, women should try to drink at least 48 ounces of water and other hydrating fluids daily, and men should aim for the consumption of at least half a gallon of hydrating fluids daily. To keep your skin moisturized, you should generally apply an occlusive moisturizer once per day. However, you should moisturize twice daily if you have dry skin.

It is also important that you avoid strenuous activities for at least a day or two after your dermal filler treatment. Vigorous exercise increases your metabolism significantly, and the filler may be metabolized too quickly if your metabolism is too high. The filler needs time to take full effect. You also need to avoid other things that can negatively affect your recovery or results, like drinking alcoholic beverages, consuming tobacco products, and excessive heat exposure.

How Long Will the Results of My Treatment Last?

As a general rule, you can expect your results to last for six to 12 months. To extend the longevity of your results, you should avoid smoking and minimize your alcohol intake. You can also help your results last longer by staying hydrated and nourished.

Am I a Good Candidate for This Treatment?

You will probably qualify for BELOTERO injections if you have volume loss-related concerns and are fairly healthy. It is often used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, including marionette lines, vertical lip lines, and nasolabial folds. However, there is also a strong likelihood that you will qualify for this treatment if you are looking to volumize your lips, improve the contours of your cheeks, or restore lost volume to your temples or undereye area.

What Contraindications Are There for This Treatment?

This injectable dermal filler is not appropriate for people suffering from an active skin infection or inflammatory condition, like oral herpes or acne, in the targeted treatment areas. Additionally, this treatment may not be an ideal fit for you if you have a history of severe allergic reactions.

Furthermore, you may not be able to receive this treatment if you take daily blood-thinners or anticoagulants. Similarly, this treatment is not recommended for individuals who suffer from a bleeding disorder or medical condition that causes slow wound healing, like poorly controlled diabetes. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are other common contraindications.

What Preparation Steps Are Required Before This Treatment?

There are a few steps you will need to take before your injections can be administered. For instance, you will need to avoid:

Water, vitamin C, zinc, and amino acids are all required for your skin to produce extra collagen in response to dermal filler injections. Furthermore, you should arrive with a clean face. Before your appointment, you should wash your face with a gentle facial cleanser and refrain from applying cosmetics.

What Should I Expect During My Treatment Session?

We will paint a clear picture of what you can expect during your injection session when you attend your initial evaluation. How long you can expect your treatment session to take depends on several factors, including the severity of the concerns being treated, the number of areas that need to be treated, and the size of the areas you are treating. As a general rule of thumb, you can expect your session to take 15 to 60 minutes to complete.

Before we administer the dermal filler injections, we will inspect your targeted treatment areas to verify that there is no irritation. If there are no contraindications, we will clean the treatment areas and mark the most strategic injection points. After that, we will inject the hyaluronic acid-based gel into several points in the areas of concern.
